Sixteen years ago I was blessed to find First Baptist Church of Shallotte.
Having been away from church for many years, I was in need; not exactly sure what I
was seeking. Relatively new to the area, I knew no one. At FBCS I found a pastor who
teaches the true word of God and will not stray from it. Through many opportunities to
learn more about God and His word, my life has been transformed into a beautiful
relationship with God that I never expected. I also had no idea I would find such a
welcoming, caring church family. We love serving God together. If you’re seeking

My family and I really appreciate the sound Biblical preaching, teaching and instruction provided by Pastor Bob Weathers. He clearly has a God-given gift for presenting deep theological doctrine in a manner that’s digestible, practical, and relevant to the many cultural pressures felt by Christian families. Because of Pastor Bob’s unwavering devotion to Christ and stewardship to the church body, FBCS is firmly rooted in Biblical truth.

I love our church for countless reasons—its strong focus on God, the solid biblical teaching of His Word from our Pastors, the joyful presence of children all around and the warmth and love shared by everyone who attends.

Being part of a community of believers helps me grow in my faith, stay accountable and receive encouragement and support.
